Overview
Set out on an unforgettable 10-day Ladakh bike expedition, a journey that starts and ends in Leh, the heart of the Land of High Passes. This ride is about more than ticking places off a list — it’s about feeling the mountains, riding empty roads, and discovering just how vast and beautiful Ladakh really is.
The journey begins in Leh, where you’ll take it easy for the first couple of days to acclimatize and explore. Visit places like Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Hall of Fame, Magnetic Hill, and Sangam Point, while settling into the rhythm of high-altitude life.
Once you’re ready, the real adventure begins. Ride across the legendary Khardung La Pass (17,982 ft) and descend into the stunning Nubra Valley, a cold desert surrounded by towering peaks, sand dunes, and the famous double-humped camels. From Nubra, continue north to Turtuk, India’s last village near the Indo-Pak border, where Balti culture, old stone houses, and warm hospitality offer a glimpse into a different way of life.
The road then leads you through rugged mountain terrain to the iconic Pangong Lake, where endless shades of blue reflect the sky and surrounding mountains. From the lake, you ride deeper into Ladakh’s remote wilderness to Hanle, home to India’s highest astronomical observatory and some of the clearest night skies you’ll ever see.
One of the biggest highlights of the expedition is riding to Umling La Pass (19,024 ft) — the highest motorable road in the world. Standing there is a moment of quiet pride, knowing you’ve pushed your limits and reached the roof of the world. The journey continues to the peaceful Tso Moriri Lake, tucked away in the Changthang Plateau, surrounded by snow-covered peaks and complete silence.
As the expedition comes to an end, you’ll ride back to Leh carrying more than just photographs. You’ll return with new friendships, a sense of achievement, and memories of high passes, starry nights, and endless roads that stay with you long after the ride is over.
This trip is for those who love the open road, seek real adventure, and believe that the best journeys are the ones that change you along the way.
